Monday 28th June

Trained hard yesterday after shift whilst football was on. Lucky I didnt watch it!! It was Upper body again and I can feel my back today but awaiting some pain in my arms! I really felt the pushdowns, overhead rope extensions into the seated db hammer curls and the down the rack for biceps just finished it off nicely.

Clients doing great, Chantel have a great holiday and enjoy the relaxation then its straight back to training for our 10km we sponsor in August. Tamsin had a great pump in her arms this morning from a tri set and back is very strong, even managed to hang in there with a drop set! 45 mins on the stairclimber is also very impressive, well done! Sarah and Louise are looking in shape and their bodies are changing really well. Not bad for a morning!

I hope your weeks are set up well and you are noted when training and preparing meals.

Tammy, I hope to see you back next week when your back has had a rest from moving those cows!!

Another busy week is coming to an end. Training was good on thursday. Upper body felt strong, pressed the 15kg for shoulder presses on my own for 2 sets of 8 reps with a drop of 8 at 10kg. Definatley feeling stronger. Work has been busy covering shifts and I am ready again for work tomorrow and training.

Really happy with clients, got 4 class ladies on coconut butter this week, so looking forward to their feedback!

Having sport on is great, really enjoying Wimbledon, just watching Murray play now and of course England play Germany tomorrow, what a day tomorrow!

Weather is beautiful, a real summer, long may it continue!

Tuesday 22nd June

Trained Sunday after work and had a good workout. I trained on my own got a good Pump. It was an upper body workout and the arms was good, the change around with the pushdowns, rope extensions and hammer curls def work better and the drop set incline curls down the rack were really hard but good!

Good week so far. Jemma trained great today and is really into her jump chins, negative work was excellent today.

After PUMP this morning I trained Legs, which felt quite tired. Trap bar squats were good and switched on glutes and hams, single leg squats were good and I went heavier with the dumbells. I trained 2 sets on the lying leg curls with the 21’s’and think that exercise must have got my hams last week, but the single leg curls definately finished me off, one set with pause at the the top and the other with a forced negative. Legs very shaky, had shake, oats and oil and cant wait for my chicken and sweet potato!!!

Tonight after PUMP again I am taking beginners running club, shoes packed, just hope my legs hold out!!

I trained Legs on Tuesday and thought that the workout wasnt hard enough. How clearly I was wrong?!?!

Trap bar deadlifts, single leg squats, speed squats, lying leg curls and single leg curls with pauses at the top and forced negatives. Legs still sore today (thu) and exactly where we wanted them to be sore! Hamstrings and glutes!

All clients are training hard and doing well. Jemma pressing the 10kg for shoulder presses with ease. Group training tonight was nice outside on the outdoor gym.

Took Body Blast class this morning and we all went out and trained outdoors. It was beautiful, I have to take a load of coconut butter over as they all are seeing benefits of Jane being on it, who is looking amazing.

Trained Upper body after the class and it was a hard workout again. Got a great pump. Started with shoulders, heavy presses, 1 min X 2 db lateral raises, arnie presses. Arms was cable curls and overhead rope presses. Incline db curls down the rack, hammer curls, seated row (wide) and incline presses and flyes! Huge workout, hard to drive home.

Busy afternoon training clients and through to the evening.

Food, sleep…

Sunday 13th June

Its raining! Lovely weekend weather here. Just cooking my turkey burgers in my coconut oil and winding down. Worked today and set my week up and had SJ took me through my A workout. Chins and weighted chins, wide and reverse grip pulldowns. My back gets a pump now staright away, it switches on quite easily, has taken a good few years hard work but now it works well for me. A new exercise called a kneeling J’pulldown for my back, more like a kneeling staight arm pulldown, it was good. Pushdowns, overhead rope ext and std hammer curls which gave my arm a good pump and a set of incline sup curls to finish off.

Cant wait for legs on Tuesday, got to hit my hams more!

Looking forward to working with clients this week, busy week coming up ahead. All planned so rest tonight.

5 weeks till pre-contest diet starts!

Friday 11th June

Friday, June 11th, 2010

What a week! Back a work, teaching, running my site and clients. My training took a side step which was wrong and my program is changing again as I have about 5 weeks before My pre-contest diet starts. Looks like I am going back on a A B and C’. 2 x upper and 1 lower. Starting with Upper on Sunday and I am very excited about that.

Unfortunately, I am not going to see Monica Brant at end of the month. We have early births, marriages, honeymoons, late house move and staff holidays suddenly merging on my trip. Needless to say I am gutted and disappointed but I have a site to run and it is my job. I hope to go out but it looks like it wont be at least till after my show in October now as pre-contest starts soon and I have to focus on the competiton.

My clients have done well. Here’s’a few well dones to some. Lucie lost a couple of pounds, cardio and coconut oil seems to have helped. Chantel has her mojo back and has booked on the 10km run we sponsor in August! Yey!! Bekah looks in great shape and last nights jump chins were superb, 5 on her own! Tammy is back in body and mind. Well done girls!!!

Friday - Rest Day

Friday, June 4th, 2010

I have trained ARMS this week and had a tri set of 2 biceps and 1 triceps and then 2 tris and 1 bis. I got a real good pump and in this climate I findit much easier as you get warm so much quicker. Seems to be more blood flow enabling blood to get into the working muscle. I am off all supps this week and having a break from oats, mct oil and shakes. The rest has done me a lot of good. I have been swimming and stretching lots.

Dont know if I mentioned it but my trip to Texas with Monica Brant is on for the end of June, so I am so looking forward to that. Brilliant news!!!

Having breakfast out and writing my blog and its a gorgeous day. Today is rest day. Yesterday I trained shoulders, back and chest and I can feel it! My back is the most sore. The lateral raises for max reps for 1 min x 2 was good and into heavy db shoulder presses. But it was the 1 min pullovers into wide machine pulldowns x 3 that got me. I can feel it right in my insertions. The rest was good, reverse pulldowns and flyes x 1 min max reps and db incline chest presses. Rest day again and stretches for me and then tomorrow is heavy volume
Arms.

Looking forward to hearing about your successes!
P.s’hamstrings still a little sore! Def a part that need working on more!!!

Training-Holiday

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

I am away on holiday and am enjoying a great break. Lots of swimming to help me rest and recover. I am catching up on my Oxygen magazines and I have a few back copies to get through which is great. I have heard from Monica Brant and it looks like my trip is on!!!! Yey!!! Really looking forward to my next trip.

In the meantime, my hamstrings are in bits!!! Started my new routine A,B,C’and D. I started A before my break which was Arms-heavy and yesterday I trained Legs. Heavy db squats replaced bb squats 1 x 12 and then 2 x 8 into single leg squats 2 x 30, lying leg curls 2 x 1 mins test (ouch) and then straight leg deadlifts and calves with abs. My hamstrings are in bits today. I am working on really giving them some shape, especially at the top. They are ridiculously sore and tight today. The idea behind this programme is aimed at my arms, i lift heavy and then rest them for a couple of days before going in for volume, I dont have too long left before pre contest diet starts in July.

To all my clients - I hope you are working hard without me and I look forward to the promises you have made to me about the changes you are making to yourselves.

Happy Training x
