Happy New Year to you all.  Its the start of a new year and a new decade.

Its time to think about what you want to achieve and what will make you happy.  What will inspire you?  What will make you successful?  How will it make you feel?  What will it cost you if you succeed or follow through your dreams or goals?

Make a list and then decide which one is the most important and go to it.  Set yourself small steps how to get thereand then work backwards from the goal in mind.  It may take 5 months, a year or 5 years but if it is important to you and you can see a way of getting it then its very achievable.

Now is the time to start thinking about your diet.  Give away your starchy sugary food to charity or just give it away.  Clear your cuboards out and start afresh.  Its time to fill up on non starchy foods, lots of vegetables and protein.  Then start to plan your week ahead.  What are you going to eat for lunch this week?  Are you going to make pack lunches and snacks?  what are you going to eat?  What times are you going to eat?

As well as focussing on your food its time to focus back on your training.  How many times are you going to work out?  Pre pack the gym bag and throw it into the boot of your car so there is no excuses when you have had a busy day at work.  You know better than I do that exercise can be a great stress relief.

Now is the time to start actingupon the things that you thought you would like to try, eg: the PUMP class, ZUMBA, CIRCUITS.  If you are lacking in personal motivation then group classes can be a great way to exercise and meet people.  If you fancy something different then hire a trainer, if cost worries you, then think about how much money you spend outside the gym, making lunches for a week rather than buying them could buy you an hour with a trainer, or get together with a friend and share the cost, and share the fun.

Whatever you decide to do, do it 110%.  Enjoy the experience of reaching your goals and see what a difference to your life it makes.

Enjoy this year and most of all, have some fun!

Happy New Year.
