6 days to go………

Been working out hard and dieting hard, can’t beleive its 6 days.  Off work this week as site-manager and trainer and just contentrating on me, cardio, diet and all the other bits and pieces that go into the final!

I am really looking forward to the weekend and eating afterwards, although I am usually so thirsty that I drink so much, I don’t have room for food for an hour or so afterwards!!!But don’t worry, then I pack it in.  Then its flight home from Glasgow, couple of rest days and then back to it for the NPA finals.  Its all go-go-go!!!

Saturday I did double cardio, yesterday I did double cardio and chest and back and today I did double cardio and half body workout with Dave in Paignton gym.  Nice to train with someone else but workout was too long.  Tomorrow, we speed it up and keep the intensity as hour cardio after is hard!

To all my clients, thanks for your support but please work hard whilst I am off, I will look forward to hearing about how you all do next week and catching up!

Monday I trained Shoulders and Arms with SJ in Paignton, bit different to my usual workout and I had trained ARMS and double cardio on the Sunday.  My arms were sore yesterday, not too much on my shoulders, and I think I can still feel my back!  Yesterday has been double cardio and today has been double cardio so far, just trying to work out if I should train later.  Feel tired today, its the 2nd only protein day and I am hungry, fats back in Friday.  No long to go though, just waiting for music to be cut and all sorted, need to send e-mail to Crys Corner to check my new suit for the finals has been sent.  Tan is ordered, everything good.

Massive well done to Rebekah Harrold.  She is a client of mine and has just cycled to France and back.  800 miles in 9 days.  Superb effort and I am amazed at how good she looks, she was dying to get into the gym last night to train ARMS and we had a great session!

Hopefully I will get a story from her and post pics up.

Shoulders and Legs yesterday.  Shoulders are sore and so are legs today, I did 45 mins of double cardio and today 45 mins cardio this morning.  For Shoulders I did standing military shoulder press, 10/8/6 and then drop set 8/8/8 lateral raises, frontal raises and db reverse flyes.  For Legs I did a straight through set of alternates db lunges with 10kg, plyometric lunges and jump squats 20/20/20.  Dumbell shruggs, heavly lateral raises and fast dyna band lateral raises 3 sets 12/20/20.  Good workout and I am feeling it today.

Busy day at work, I havea great new team starting out and I am busy!  3 days protein and veggie, I am hungry!  My web designer is jpegging my comp pics and I should have them up by the weekend, if not Monday.  I have also had a package put on so should be able to post pics with my blog (depends how easy it is to do!)

Getting ready!!!

17 days to go till the BNBF Final.  Back to it today and trained ARMS and 45 min uphill walking on the treadmill.  I gained some weight, mainly water after the show and it is dropping back off again and abs are back!  I have been so de hydrated, but plenty of salt in water and everything is ok.  Energy levels are back as much as they can be I think and its time to focus, re think, work on my new routine and get ready. 

My pic cd and dvd should be here tomorrow and hopefully pics on my site by the weekend.  I was sent a couple of pics today and I was really happy to see how I looked, its very hard to see changes in yourself but I know what to do and what changes to make to better myself and my body.

Tomorrow is Shoulders and Legs!  Bring it on……………

I am going to the NPA Finals!

I placed 2nd at yesterdays NPA qualifier in Tring.  I have an invite to the finals and its in Leamington Spa, October 25th. 

2 Finals - 6 weeks - then its over. 

I enjoyed the show, and it was a shame that I wasn’t allowed to wear my new blue piece that I had made in the States, apparently is was too sparkly?  Just lucky I got to wear it and will wear it again for the BNBF.  Luckily I had my black 2 piece as a spare, but I am looking forward to my new 2 piece to wear from the States, not arrived yet.

I felt in really good shape yesterday and the atmosphere back stage was nice.

I am so looking forward to seeing what my body is going to look like in the next 3-6 weeks and I have decided to go out and train with Monica Brant next year, I have had an e mail from her and  she has some slots available next year to train 1:1 so I can plan a trip to Texas for 2010 and maybe start looking for a show out there too!

Exciting times are ahead for me!!!  Feeling a little tired today, but been out for walks and plenty of fresh air and working from home today.  My body is sore, especially my back, I am eating off diet today but being careful and not being crazy and back to it tomorrow!!!

Just ordering my dvd of the show and cd pics and should have them mid week and hopefully up on site by the weekend.

1 day to go……

I’ll have been on stage in 24 hours time!  I am feeling good, hungry and looking forward toit.  Hair, nails, tan has started, everything packed.  Now its time to relax, run through my routine and poses, eat and chill.  I find that hard but have to make myself do it!  Don’t want to hold onto any extra water!

Sat on the beach this morning and saw a seal bobbing about.  It was just lazing about and bobbing in the surf, real cool!  Thats wht happens when you live by the seaside!

Congratulations to Luke and Suzanne who have just had a baby boy Louis!  Lovely news! x

2 days to go……..

Man I was so hungry yesterday on a protein only day!  The taste of food on this diet is starting to get tough, so introduced Turkey today.  Not bad!!!

Yesterday I had my last 45 min cardio in the morning and the last half body split in the afternoon.  Feels strange when you lift half the weight you normally lift, you feel really weak but your body can’t lift more!  Strange.

Posing and routine was done this morning and my body is looking shape.  Direutics start tomorrow, just gentle Uva Ursi for shedding the body of extra cellelar water.  I feel good though, little tired but I am really looking forward to the show on Sunday, then its 3 weeks to the BNBF finals!

Well done Lisa, another 2lb weight loss for you this week.  Thats great news for you!!!

Well done Bekah, 8 reps neutral grip pulldown on 45kg, strong girl.  Great chest and back session yesterday!   I trained with Bekah yesterday and it was really good, lats and chest sore today.  Pullovers, Neutral chins, neutral/reverse grip bent over rows, and straight arm pull downs with the rope standing on a bosu ball!  Great for isolating the lats and not making the glutes take over the exercise!  Chest was functional trainer flyes and vertical chest press.  double cardio was well for yesterday.

This morning was cardio and then thats it for today.  Tomorrow is upper body workout to deplete my glycogen stores as I am not fat loading tomorrow and then its fill up time with fat from Friday!

Double cardio over the weekend and rested, getting a bit tired now.  Today back to it with double cardio and trained ARMS.  It was good and by the end of the workout they were pumped up.  I trained on my own and no spotter today, so I took the weights down and started with lying close grip press into functional trainer bicep curls 4 x 8 reps and then lying french press into plate bicep curls 4 x 8 into 4 x 15 reps.  Fast rep tricep pushdowns 3 x 15 reps, single arm preacher db curls 10/8/6 and then 2 x 8 db hammer curls.  Legs are getting tired but no more leg training till after the show, don’t want any added water!!!
