Chest and Arms
Had a great weekend, went to Bournemouth for my early morning cardio Saturday morning along the beach. to keep my heart rate up to 115-125 I had to roughly jog for about 20-25 seconds and then have about 40-50 secs rest before going again. the beach promenade is so flat that my heart rate could not get up with out having a little jog, even despite the natural organic green tea! I did so much walking on Saturday that I must have done 40 mins cardio at least 4 times over. Today my calves are very sorry but are starting to shape up (must be wearing flip flops all that time!). I trained Chest and Arms at the MAJESTIC GYM - 12 ROUMELIA LANE, BOSCOMBE IN BOURNEMOUTH. We have trained at this gym over the years and its a great gym, trained on my first arc trainer there. The ceiling is low and lots of strips of neon light and just what you need, most of their equipment is Cybex and some of it is so old, but still functional. I started with Chest, incline db presses, incline flyes and seated vertical chest press 3 x 10/8/6. Decided to start biceps first as my triceps are getting most of the pump when I train them first. Bicep cable curls, then I changed seated single db supination curls to single arm db bicep curl resting on the preacher machine, that got them really well and then overheard db curls lying on the bench with the cable 3 x 10/8/6. Triceps up next, pressdowns first and I had the most incredible pump, single arm rope cable extensions and then a spot from my friend Claire ( who is not used to spotting me) on the lying french press (definately called it skull crusher today!!!). Brilliant workout and then another huge walk back into Bournemouth along the beach. Got a feeling tomorrow is ARMs again, they are feeling tight but ready to go!!!
Tomorrow is the first official opening of our new site for our Paignton gym. I am so exicted and plan to train later this week there. Jon has been there getting the last few bits done today. 2 Officially world class gyms from tomorrow, the 3rd to come in Septemeber.
Congratulations to my client Sarah Hill. She had a baby girl on Friday and has already text me trying to sort out sessions so that she can lose her ‘jelly belly’! I am so happy she has arrived safely and mother and daughter are doing well, congratulations too to her husband Mike. Lovely news for the weekend!
Good luck to Debra, she is going to do the Breast Cancer awareness 5 km run tonight in Exeter, just waiting to see how she has got on.
