2 days to go……..

Friday, July 31st, 2009

My suit has arrived!  Its lovely and I hope to get some great pictures for my website for you to see.   Today I am back on my protein and fat, FATS mean ENERGY,  FATS REPEL WATER, feel good today!  Thank goodness.

Met SJ this morning and ran through my routine and feeling very happy about that.  Got my tune on my i pod, thanks Deanne, got a new play list on my ipod for the journey to Manchester.  Got a great team with me, SJ, Helen, Jon and Deanne, so the support is great for me.  How lucky am I!

Nails, and teeth done today, hair and eyelashes tomorrow and then the tanning starts!!!

4 days to go!……..

Got music, got poses, suits on its way!

So feeling pretty tired, but thats inevitable till Friday till I get my fats back.  It has been double cardio since Monday with 1 x upper body workout to deplete my muscle glycogen.  Chest, Back, Shoulders, Biceps and Triceps.

Back this afternoon for more cardio and upper body workout and routine posing.

We have Jenny Lynn dvd back on at the moment that inspires me to train, the fact that I met her and that she one 3 x Olympia figure, but not last year.  That fires me up on the stair climber.  FOCUS……………

6 days to go till my heat!

No weights yesterday but double cardio, pretty tired by the afternoon and today (I forgot how this feels!!!)  Its been a good day and I have been busy, no carbs or fats, just protein and veg only.  Carb depleting for the next few days and my energy levels will dip a bit.  Weird feeling and I have drunk 10 litres of water yesterday and 8 today.  Black coffee and green tea it is then!  I have done double cardio today and one weights session and PUMP later on.  The idea is to deplete my glycogen out of my muscles and then fill back up on fats by the weekend (fats repel water) so technically I get full but won’t hold water!

Nice to have Chantel back training today, she has been hit by swine or nasty flu, but luckily her respiratory system is back working and she is able to talk again!  Seriously, nice to have you back training!

8 Days to go……

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

Yesterday I trained CHEST and did double cardio, and today I trained ARMS with double cardio.  By biceps got a good squeeze and the workout was really good.  My cardio has increased by 15 mins per day at the moment, so that 1 hour in the morning and 45 in the afternoon, but those that know me know, I may treat myself to more!  Diet looks like it will be changing from Monday so am waiting to hear from SJ.

I have been practising my posing and things are going well.  I can’t beleive its 8 days to go, it has come round very quick and its very exciting!

I must just say ‘congratulations’ are in order to Rachel and James, who are due to tie the knot on Dec 5th.  Rachel was one of my first clients a few years ago and I will be having the pleasure in working with her again for her big day!  Fantastic news for you both, a ‘Winter Wedding!’ x

Training is going well.  Trained ARMS on Monday, BACK  and last set of deadlifts on Tuesday, no more training legs now and no more sunbeds as you don’t want to start letting the legs hold any extra water.  Trained DELTS today, double cardio since forever……

Feeling good and practising my T-Walk and poses, musics being edited this week.

Well done to Bekah, she pressed for incline db press the 12.5kg for 10 reps this week.

2 weeks to go!……………

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

I am very excited.  2 weeks to go till I compete with the BNBF in Manchester.  I spoke to Vicky McCaan yesterday to run through the rules and T-Walk and what they are looking for.  It really is going fast!

Trained an extra session this week, I trained CHEST on Friday and then yesterday I went to Paignton and trained ARMS.  Today I have done double cardio and had Deanne for company which was great.  I have completed 13 sessions of cardio between 45 mins- 1 hour and trained weights 6 x this week.

I had my cheat meal last night of burger and chips and had no food food hangover today, little tired, but that’s to be expected.  Work is very busy and things are going well.

Time to plan my week again, I hope you are doing the same!

Checl out the new website, www.Winners2000.co.uk  we have had it revamped and its got loads going on, seperate pages for each site so we can let you know whats happenning and loads more!

Busy week, productive week, hard training and cardio, only 4 days into the week!

Trained ARMS on Monday, BACK on Tuesday, DELTS yesterday and ARMS again later today.  I am about my 8th cardio session and have had some great help from Deanne who is really up for cardio at the moment!  I have split ABS up and do the Bosu planks and side planks one day and then next incline weighed and fitball crunches the next then one day off.  This is really helping me with time as well and lets me really concentrate on the task in hand!

Pictures went well on Monday and I have droppped weight and tightening up, dropping water and fat too.  Alls well!

Well done Bekah, for pressing the 10kg for 10 reps on db shoulder press Tuesday night!

End of a week!

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

I did double cardio on Friday, early morning on an empty stomach and later in the afternoon and I moved weights to Saturday.

Yesterday I went to the new Paignton site to train with Jon.  The gym is huge and it like an american style gym, kind of reminds me of Powerhouse gym in New York.  Seeing as this is going to be our temporary home for the next 2 years, I can’t wait to see what we build on the plot next to us after that, it is going to be amazing!  I trained Chest and Arms with Jon and alrady this morning I can feel my chest and arms coming on.  I also have a food hangover!  Last night was my cheat meal of burger and chip and diet coke and today I have a headache, so water all the way today and maybe cut down on the caffiene! (that’s probably part of it).

I was strong on chest, we did incline db press (10kg, 12.5kg and 15 kg) 3 x 10/8/6, I must start next week with the 12.5kg and do the 17.5kg, then db incline flyes with 10.kg for 3 sets and then the incline chest press for 3 sets.  Arms was single arm curls again on the preacher curl and cable curls, my arms were really pumped and there was a great mirror in Paignton to show my guns!!!  Triceps was pressdowns and then singe arm rope extensions and 2 sets of french press to finish off.  I did an hour of cardio in the morning and 30 mins on treadmill after training, a good day!

So except for my food hangover today I have 45 min of cardio with Dave this morning, he has 12 weeks left till BNBF final and I have 3 weeks to go to the qualifier and hopefully I can join him in the final too.  I am starting to feel hungry again, so my metabolic rate must be speeding up from the cheat meal!

Happy Days!

I hope you have all had a good week, I have been listening to ‘Stephen Coveys -  7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ and I think that has really helped me focus this week with work, diet and training.

Thoughts for today are:

What is your purpose?

Think with the end in mind!…………………

9th July 09

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

This week is flying by.  I ave done 6 x cardio sessions already this week and have just done an hour this morning with Deanne, 30 mins on stairclimber and treadmill.

I trained Arms on Monday, Back on Tuesday, Shoulders yesterday and this afternoon is back to Arms.  I had pics on Monday and I am starting to come in tighter, my legs are too with all this cardio.  This afternoon I am training Arms again with cardio.  My days are really filled with work, clients, training and cardio and it is quite hard to find any time for anything else.  I am 2 lb lighter so we will see how I look next Monday.  Energy levels are ok, there are times in the day, mainly afternoon when I am quite shattered with low bllod pressure, but once I seem to exercise my blood pressure rises and I am ok again.  I haven’t really got time to be too tired as its very busy at work, but I am doing well and really enjoying this process.  The diet is helping keep me focussed and for those of you that find it hard, get yourself  a journal and plan your meal times and what you are eating, there is then no excuses not to do it.  You keep to your work schedules, so why not do the same with your food and training.  Promise you , it makes life easier!

Received my BNBF membership card today so I am now entered for the Aug 2nd qualifier in Manchester, just waiting to hear how my suits are doing from the states.  They are going to try and send me my plain 2 piece in time.  Everything is crossed!!!

Let you kow later how Arms goes!

Chest and Arms

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

Had a great weekend, went to Bournemouth for my early morning cardio Saturday morning along the beach.  to keep my heart rate up to 115-125 I had to roughly jog for about 20-25 seconds and then have about 40-50 secs rest before going again.  the beach promenade is so flat that my heart rate could not get up with out having a little jog, even despite the natural organic green tea!  I did so much walking on Saturday that I must have done 40 mins cardio at least 4 times over.  Today my calves are very sorry but are starting to shape up (must be wearing flip flops all that time!).  I trained Chest and Arms at the MAJESTIC GYM - 12 ROUMELIA LANE, BOSCOMBE IN BOURNEMOUTH.  We have trained at this gym over the years and its a great gym, trained on my first arc trainer there.  The ceiling is low and lots of strips of neon light and just what you need, most of their equipment is Cybex and some of it is so old, but still functional.  I started with Chest, incline db presses, incline flyes and seated vertical chest press 3 x 10/8/6.  Decided to start biceps first as my triceps are getting most of the pump when I train them first.  Bicep cable curls, then I changed seated single db supination curls to single arm db bicep curl resting on the preacher machine, that got them really well and then overheard db curls lying on the bench with the cable 3 x 10/8/6.  Triceps up next, pressdowns first and I had the most incredible pump, single arm rope cable extensions and then a spot from my friend Claire ( who is not used to spotting me) on the lying french press (definately called it skull crusher today!!!).  Brilliant workout and then another huge walk back into Bournemouth along the beach.  Got a feeling tomorrow is ARMs again, they are feeling tight but ready to go!!!

Tomorrow is the first official opening of our new site for our Paignton gym.  I am so exicted and plan to train later this week there. Jon has been there getting the last few bits done today.  2 Officially world class gyms from tomorrow, the 3rd to come in Septemeber.

Congratulations to my client Sarah Hill.  She had a baby girl on Friday and has already text me trying to sort out sessions so that she can lose her ‘jelly belly’!  I am so happy she has arrived safely and mother and daughter are doing well, congratulations too to her husband Mike.  Lovely news for the weekend!

Good luck to Debra, she is going to do the Breast Cancer awareness 5 km run tonight in Exeter, just waiting to see how she has got on.
