I hope you are having a good weekend, colds are still around at the gym, so have been staying out of the way when not training clients and doing outdoor cardio.  Friday, beach and hill sprints and outdoors again today.  I have some Winning Times articles added to my site for you to read.  Go to Services and then to Articles.

I have a Recommended Daily Allowance Article on mulit-vitamins and minerals that I researched while on the GB - Diploma in Nutrition, I am currently making the article shorter and should have that on site shortly.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and make sure you are planning your meals and training for the week ahead!

I can’t believe where the week has gone, Helen and Dean are down with colds, so I am praying that I don’t catch one!  I am still taking time off weights and have just been doing cardio.  It’s nice to have a break and gives me time to evaluate how my training is and where I am going.  I can plan in New York next years goals, both personal and business which I am looking forward to.  This morning I went for a nice bike ride along the sea for one hour.  It was great and real nice start to the day.  Beach sprints and hill tomorrow.  The gym is busy and I am training a couple of extra clients as Simon is still away.

Tamsin, I hope you get better soon (bet you are real sorry you missed out on beach sprints yesterday morning).  Chantel, I hope you are training hard in your hotel gym in Scotland before going to work?  Well done to Simon Jones, you are starting to change shape and are getting stronger each week, only a few more sessions left before you get handed back over to your coach!  Looking forward to Shoulders, Back and Chest tonight.  Also Melanie, I hope you get better soon and see you next week ready to go!

Ok, all my pictures have been uploaded onto my site.  The latest ones are from last month NPA Nationals.  Next up will be training pictures from my next trip to New York in December.  I have just booked to do the Brooklyn Bridge Bootcamp Workout and am really looking forward to that!

Outdoor beach sprints cardio this afternoon once I have finshed all my client and my own weekly planning.

Clap push-ups!

A real busy week so far.  SJ has gone away to the states on a working/research/holiday and I am in charge of running the gym.  So far so good and everything is fine, got one apprentice off with suspected glandular fever but all under control!

The gym has been really busy with new members wanting to ‘change their lifestyles’ and we seem busier than ever.  Whatever happens with this ‘economic recession’ I think people will always want a feel good factor and what a better way to get it than through the form of health and exercise.

Well done to Rebekah for doing 5 clap push ups this week.  She totally surprised herself and is chuffed to bits with her new body shape and weight loss over the last few months.  My TBA ladies on Tuesday night are halfway though the technique of learning them too!  Fantastic!!!   Chantel, I hope you are enjoying your week off and have hit the treadmill at home today like you promised.

My front page has changed again and I think it will stay this way for now.  My pictures should be up on my gallery by the weekend as they have just been cropped for me.  Also my routine from the Nationals has just been put up on YOU TUBE, and hopefully soon to be on my front page.

I have decided to take a week off training this week and hopefully back to to it next week, feeling healthier and stronger, hopefully I can squeeze in another nice outdoor fresh air bike ride (weather permitting) at the weekend.

Trained legs on Thursday morning with Dean.  It was a great session and I really enjoyed it.  But I got real system failure from lunchtime.  Don’t think my body has quite recovered from all the stress of dieting etc.  So, the programme is going to change again!  SJ has suggested body part a day be removed and go back to an A/B split 3-4 times a week.  This is what I used to do, it also works along the lines of Stuart McRoberts ‘Brawns’ (www.stuartmcrobert.com) theory of cycling intervals and cycling intensity to get better strength gains  and helping reduce central nervous system failure.  It also works on increasing weights by small increments each week.   So, the programme has been written and I have planned to start it Wednesday afternoon.  In the meantime, I have been doing lots of outdoor fresh air bike rides.  A short 2 hour one on Friday, a 3 hour (20 miles) coastal one yesterday and today beach and hill sprints.  Brilliant!

I would also like to say a massive ‘well done’ to Becky Birch.  She has just come back from New York, where she completed her first marathon.  She did it in 4 hours and 23 mins.  her personal goal was to do it in under 5.  Well done Becky, so proud of you and I am sure you are already thinking of your next challenge!

Training and PICS on site.

I am back training, and it feels good, just not what my body is telling me!  Trained BACK yesterday and today SHOULDERS and tomorrow LEGS.  Trained BACK with Simon, Helen and Dean yesterday and that was good, SHOULDERS on my own today and tomorrow LEGS with Dean.  It’s nice to be training with a group or another person as it makes a change from training on my own.  Its good to see how other people train and fires you up for your own set.

I have updated the albums and pictures on my site, so please take a look when you have time.  All I am waiting for now is the professional pictures from the Nationals which will be in the hand of my web designer and hopefully up by the weekend.

I hope all your training is going well and you had a good ‘Guy Fawkes’ night.  8 weeks till Christmas, so it is time to redefine those goals and set to it!

Today

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

So, it has been a good week of cardio and I feel back to normal.  I have had some great bike rides along the coast in the fresh air this weekend, very nice not to be doing it in the gym and be outdoors with scenery.  I am doing a liver cleanse today with a 24 hour fast, so am starving at the moment and not really looking forward to drinking the epsom salts later.  But, this is for the call of duty to cleanse my liver, kill any bugs and its the start of optimum health for me.  Diet and training is back in the hands of my coach SJ and should be back to lifting weights on Tuesday and I am really looking forward to it.

My web designer now has all the pictures to put up on my site, so hopefully will be up by the end of the week.

I hope you have all had a good weekend and a Happy Halloween and ready to start the week ahead with positive thoughts and energy.
