Delts and Hams
3 days off training and back in for hams and delts! Great workout and Jon coached me through it. I definately am not feeling so tired now and with the help of a few more calorie fuelled meals has also helped.
It was a long workout 55 mins in total including calves and abs, that is too long and I was tired but then became a little ‘wired’ as was on shift all evening. I found it hard to wind down once I got home. So will need to speak to Simon and see how we can shorten it as he will say its too long a workout too.
The workout started with Power Cleans. Oh my goodness, what a hard start, Jon love these types of explosive movements as he is into Rugby and that type of training. He said my form was good. It was hard and ‘the snatch straight into the squat’ was the hardest bit for me. Then it was upright rows superset into reverse bb shrugs with a 12/10/8 set. Cable front raises superset into standing military shoulder press (ouch) these were really hard, started to get tired now! 3 sets of 15 reps. Then I loved this next bit, it was single arms lateral raises (down the rack) 10kg, 7.5kg, 5kg, 2.5kg all for 10 reps. It was meant to be 2 sets but my shoulders were blown. I loved this and got a massive pump and did 10 reps on all weights. Thinking now that i WOULD LIKE TO BE A GLADIATOR (T.V SERIES) HELPED! Standing calves for 3 sets of 15 reps, left leg only as that is my weakest calf and then superset with the plank. 40 mins cardio, split between the stairclimber and incline walk on the treadmill. Helen joined me on the treadmill so that bit was much easier to get through. I listened to THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING by Glenn Harrold on the stairclimber, which was good, although you are meant to be lying down and breathing slowly! Still, anything to get you through eh!?!
